For this one I decided to show you how easy and cheap it is to throw a jacket on your outfit to make it look expensive and complete. When I don’t know what to wear or when my outfit looks totally flat I pick a jacket in my closet and a few accessories and I suddenly look more dressed!
For every look I dressed a plain black t-shirt dress so you can see the difference.
Last week I went to a clothing exchange event with one of my friend. She heard of this event on a Facebook group filled with people from Montreal interested in tradings. On the group, a girl proposed an evening of clothes swapping at her appartment. We both went. We each brought clothes that we didn’t wear anymore, but that were still nice looking. I brought 19 pieces. At the girl’s place we were about 12 random women from 16 to 40 years old all strangers to eachother. We divided all the clothes in big piles for every sizes (from XS to XL). Six girls at a time we would go through the piles and choose one item, try it on and if we liked it we kept it and let another person sort through the piles and so on.
The only rule was to get as much pieces as you brought. Since I brought 19 pieces I technically could pick 19, but I only found 7 items I liked.
I have already made an article about accessorizing to bettered an outfit, but this article will be exclusively about jewellery because it’s my favorite accessory (especially necklaces and earings). I shop everywhere for good jewels and during the years I found my best spots.
I already made an article about value’s village so I won’t come back on the subject, but it’s still a very good place to find nice second-hand jewellery.

It’s always nice to bring back objects from the travels we do and it gives an edge to the outfits we wear by adding a piece that no one else has.
