Do it yourself beauty tips!

Face and hair mask, do it yourself!

Making our own recipes instead of buying products that are chemicals and could be made without respecting human rights is a win-win. Here a three recipes I make often and that proved to be effective.

Hair mask

My homemade recipe to hydrate hair. This is way cheaper than if you buy a hair mask at the beauty salon and it works the same way.

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp of olive oil

Mix everything together in the blender. Apply it to your hair. Wait for 15 minutes and rinse it with lukewarm water.

If you don’t have any avocado you can let it go, the eggs and the olive oil will hydrate anyway. The role of the avocado is to hydrate your hair and it totally enhances the smell of the hair mask.

Add : You can add coconut oil in your hair mask (amazing for hair growth), but if you are to do that you might as well do the whole coconut oil mask and keep it in your hair for 8 hours (while sleeping) and washing it off the next morning. That way you really are benefiting from this ingredient.

Price $$: The price of this mask is approximately 1.25$. (0.75$ for the avocado, 0.25$ for 2 eggs and 0.25$ for the olive oil)

Face mask

My homemade recipe to give a glow to your face. It’s a very basic and popular recipe for cleaning and making your face gleam. I didn’t personnaly invent this, but I use it often and it’s cheap.

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tbs of orange juice with pulps
  • 1 tbs of honey

Blend all the ingredients together in the blender. Apply the mixture to your face. Wait for 15 minutes. Rinse your face with lukewarm water.

If you have a very fragile skin don’t put the orange juice (too acid).

Price $$: The price of this mask is as ridiculous as the hair mask; 0.65$. (0.30$ for the banana, 0.10$ for the orange juice and 0.25$ for the honey)

My homemade recipe for a healty smoothie. This smoothie recipe is delicious, healty, but also makes your skin glowing when you drink it daily.

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup of fruit juice
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 cup of chopped spinach
  • 1/2 mango (or 1 cup of chopped strawberrys)
  • 2 tbs of lemon juice

Mix all the ingredients in the blender together and drink up!

If you drink this smoothie 3 to 4 times a week you will definitely see a difference with your skin tone.

Price $$: This smoothie is cheaper than any smoothie you will buy at booster juice (4.99$ for the smallest size…), it’s approximately 2.60$. (0.70$ for the banana, 0.25$ for the juice, 0.75$ for the avocado, 0.25$ for the spinach, 0.50$ for the mango and 0.15$ for the lemon juice)
